01What is NauTube?
NauTube is an independent YouTube viewing app for iPhone and iPad. Parents choose approved channels and individual videos, organize collections, and set viewing routines. Children explore a feed shaped by those choices.
02How do I choose what my children can watch?
Start by approving channels or specific videos in the protected Parent area. Each child has their own profile and rules. You can block individual videos, set keyword rules, and decide whether search is available. Keyword filters check video metadata, not the video’s audio or images, so reviewing content still matters.
03Can I set limits on viewing time?
Yes. NauTube includes viewing countdowns, weekly viewing windows, and a daily allowance on each device. Parents can also choose autoplay settings and lock NauTube. These controls apply inside NauTube; Apple Screen Time restrictions require separate device setup and authorization.
04Can my family use more than one device?
NauTube supports iPhone and iPad, with optional invite-only family sharing through iCloud. Parents can assign child profiles to approved devices. Shared changes and remote controls need a connection, and some features require setup on each device.
05Does NauTube remove YouTube ads?
No. Videos play through YouTube’s official embedded player, so YouTube ads, branding, and player controls remain. NauTube does not promise that every video is appropriate for every child; parents choose and review content that fits their family.
